I think I like it!

I had a great birthday.  Ed and I had an amazing dinner on my birthday at WA Frost.  The food, the atmosphere, and the service were out of this world.  I had a wonderful time.  We came home after dinner and shared a piece of birthday cake.

About six weeks ago, a good friend of ours spent an afternoon with us taking pictures.  She does wonderful work.  She followed us around, taking tons of candid pictures as well as a few posed pictures.  She got some great shots.

We have a 2 car garage. Guess how many cars are parked in our 2 car garage tonight? TWO! Finally! And it's only taken us 8 months to get the garage cleaned out enough so that we can park both cars in there.  Only 8 months.  Who says we can't get something done when we set our minds to it?

Yesterday afternoon, mid baking and cleaning frenzy at the Ed and Julie house, Wally's little paw found a nail in our back yard. Where it came from, I have no idea, but it wedged firmly and awfully in between his little puppy toes. Ah, the end of another week!  It has been so hard to be at work this week.  The weather is beautiful and sunny, and the leaves on the trees are bright colors.  I wish that I could be home walking the dogs around the lake, or home raking leaves in the lawn, or at an orchard picking apples.  Anywhere but on the 23rd floor of a building where I can't ( Read more... )

Three years ago today, I laced up my shoes, met my running team, and ran a 5k.  Afterwards, I grabbed a beer and sat down on the sidewalk to enjoy the post-race festivities.  I can't say I didn't notice the dark-haired, dark-eyed stranger seated next to me.  Who struck up the conversation first is up for debate...
